In early 2025 I was struck by the undeniable urge to paint city skylines aglow at night over water. I started with what I knew - Seattle over the sound - and then started to wander through the skylines of other cities I’ve visited. The Garnets of her Strand evokes the skyscrapers of Chicago over Lake Michigan, glowing in red.
