In early 2025 I was struck by the undeniable urge to paint city skylines aglow at night over water. I started with what I knew - Seattle over the sound - and then started to wander through the skylines of other cities I’ve visited. I Fell For You In An Instant shows the skyline of Seattle as viewed from the ferry departing for Bainbridge, and speaks to how strongly I fell for Seattle when first visiting in 2006. This is Seattle as I love her best - misty and aglow with nighttime lights.
