One beautiful summer day we kayaked along Lake Sammamish east of Seattle and I spent hours admiring the beautiful water lilies. It took me a few years to muster the gumption to try painting the way the light filtered through the lake to light up the stalks of these lovely flowers, but I’m so glad I did!
